How about a totally not catchy bandname? Well here it is, Nebukadnezza! Maybe this is the reason they got stuck in the underground for years since their inception in 1998. Nevertheless this is their third full length record with their last one dating back to 2004. Let’s find out if There Is No Revolution…

 

Nebukadnezza play a nice combination of thrash metal and grindcore, much like a band like Birdflesh does, only with a way more serious attitude here of course. It has a good Slayer versus Napalm Death vibe going on, which means intense thrashing music with occasional outbursts of blasting and grinding. The recording and mixing of the whole is nice and messy but still definable, which creates just the right atmosphere for this type of noise.

 

Combined with some funny intros and a stupid hidden hip hop spoof track There Is No Revolution… is a nice listen for every fan of this type of grind. Let’s hope this lifts them out of the underground a bit so they can play some shows outside of the U.K in the future!
